GUI Dash Board

Purpose

The Dash Board allows Control and temporary changes to operating parameters of the AvaDroid.

The Dash Board elements

1: Login Logout
  • Login: Will log the AvaDroid into SL or OS at the “HOME” location. The home script will run.
  • Logout: Logs the AvaDroid out of SL or OS.
  • Relog: Logs the AvaDroid out and then back in to the “LAST” location. Used if there is an issue.
  • Go Home: Will teleport the AvaDroid back to the “HOME” location.
2: Memory Resets
  • Memory: Clears the Temp Memory store the was set with a remember (something) command.
  • Local Chat: Clears the Local Chat Context (History) store.
  • IM Chat: Clears the IM chats Context (History) store.
  • Reset All: Clears all of the above simultaneously.
3: Parameters
  • Mood: Sets the MOOD parameter of the AvaDroid. Beit Happy, Sad, Depressed, Silly, Surly e.t.c.
  • Action: What the AvaDroid is doing. It could be “Dancing to the good music” or “Gardening” or “Farming”
  • Memory Depth: This is the number of “TURNS” the AvaDroid keeps in the conversational context memory. A “TURN” is one USER (you) and ASSISTANT (AvaDroid) sequence. Larger Memory Depths will use more context memory and make responses slower. Lower will may cause the AvaDroid to forget what the conversation was about.
  • Number of Words: This is the NWord parameter and is the target for the number of words in the AvaDroids response. 10 is good for snappy one line responses. It is a soft limit and can be overridden in conversation by telling the AvaDroid, “you can be verbose”. Example: “Anne tell me a story about kittens, you can be verbose”.
  • One Shot: The basis for Local Conversations is “Speak when Spoken to”.
    • One Shot On (TRUE) the AvaDroid will only respond if their Name or a Broadcast Word (everyone, everybody, you all) is detected in the chat.
    • One Shot Off (FALSE) the AvaDroid will respond to their Name and will keep responding in a conversation mode to the person who said their name UNTIL somebody else speaks.
    • With One Shot Off and Greeter Off the AvaDroid will store the last 4 messages in local chat for back context in the conversation (listening).
  • Greeter: On will cause the AvaDroid to greet anybody who enters Local Chat range with a short greeting. Greeter Off, the AvaDroid wont. NOTE: Do not teleport an AvaDroid into a crowd of people with Greeter On. You have been warned.
  • Update: Will update the Parameters in runtime memory.
  • Cancel: Will Reset the fields back to what they where should you not have hit Update.
  • Reload: Will Reload the information from the Config.json file (default).
4. Movement
  • Turn Angle: The number of degrees, typically between 10 and 179, that the AvaDroid will turn when the turn buttons are clicked.
  • Movement Buttons:
    • a: Move Forward
    • b: Move Backwards
    • c: Turn Left
    • d: Turn Right
    • e: Move Left (straif)
    • f: Move Right (straif)
5. Function Buttons
  • Stand: AvaDroid will stand, if seated.
  • Relax: AvaDroid will sit on the floor.
  • Deanimate: AvaDroid will stop all animations. (hopefully)
  • Lock: AvaDroid will apply a movement lock and can't be pushed.
  • Unlock: Avadroid will remove the movement lock.
  • Quite: AvaDroid will be deaf for 30 seconds. This is used to break inter-AvaDroid chat storms..
  • AO OFF: Will signal to a ZHOA II AO system to turn off. Presuming the communications LSL script is inserted into the AO Hud (Vista?). See Preparing The Avatar Helper Scripts.
  • AO ON: Will signal to a ZHOA II AO system to turn on.
